Our collective vision

This forum was created by the Member Interest Group of the Mortality Research Steering Committee at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Whilst we begin as a community of actuaries, this forum is intended to bring together interested parties from wider disciplines with deep interest in the underlying drivers to future trends in mortality and longevity - both for individuals and for society at large.

A key question that we will continue to strive to answer is "What future events are we aware of today whose occurrence is likely to have a significant impact on UK longevity and mortality?"
  
We hope that through presenting, promoting and debating research on future demographic risks, we will improve our predictions and develop better tools to both monitor and manage these risks.
